This course is aimed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the features of the Adobe Creative Suite. The course will show you how to create professional quality artwork quickly and efficiently and you will learn how to take advantage of Creative Suite’s smooth integration between Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat. The course is based around several design projects, covering print, online and interactive production techniques.

Adobe Photoshop
Introduction: What is photoshop? How does it work? The key to understanding Photoshop. The interface and using basic tools. File formats. Intermediate: Development in using interface and tools in production. Layers, channels, masking, painting, selection techniques, re-touching and montaging. Filters. Advanced: Layer modes, using channels, special techniques.
Adobe Illustrator
Introduction: What is Illustrator? The key to selection tools in Illustrator. The interface and using basic tools. Intermediate: Development in using interface and tools in production. Selection techniques in depth. Text in depth and using Layers Filters. Importing and exporting. Advanced: In depth look at Filters and plug-ins in illustration techniques (Using Photoshop plug-ins in Illustrator). Importing and Exporting, (Illustrator to Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat and Quarkxpress).
Adobe InDesign
Introduction: How to relate to the interface, understanding text and Graphics, basic document construction and navigation. Intermediate: Working with master pages in detail, style sheets. Indexes, Contents and Pagination. PDF and HTML formats. Advanced: Indesign as a production tool, importing files, colour separation and trapping.
Adobe Acrobat
Introduction: What is acrobat, and what can it do?, Acrobat Reader, Acrobat PDF Writer and Distiller, Acrobat capture, Acrobat Exchange, Using Acrobat Files.
Quarkxpress
Introduction: How to relate to the interface, understanding the item, content and measurement palette relationship, basic document construction and navigation. Intermediate: Working with master pages in detail, style sheets, Hyphenation and Justification and setting up preferences. Advanced: Quark as a production tool, importing DCS files, colour separation and trapping. Xtensions in Quark.
Courses Location Courses are generally on-site as this keeps the cost of training down. They can be run almost any where in mainland Britain. However, most courses are run in the Midlands and London areas. Local area covered, Worcester, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands.
